This photo processing equipment move for FujiFilm Ireland involved removing the existing processing laboratory in the Camera Shop at 56 upper Grafton street and replacing it with the latest technology in photo processing equipment.
WHAT WAS INVOLVED
This processing equipment move for Fujifilm was a highly complex equipment move, requiring careful project planning and liaison with the local council and Gardai to ensure permits were in place for local traffic management.
Access was only possible by craning both machines over a 3-storey building and landing the machine on a small balcony after extracting the existing machine requiring a 20-tonne crane to be parked at the top of Grafton Street Dublin one of Ireland busiest streets for a 3-hour operational window without causing hindrance to the public or traffic.
THE OUTCOME
In close liaison with the Gardaí and Dublin County Council the installation took place at 03:00 hrs on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. From set up to completion took 2.5 hours with no difficulties encountered and to the clients complete satisfaction.
Customer Comment: As outlined above, FUJIFILM had a complex installation of new equipment and removal of old equipment for one of our key customers in Dublin City Centre. Due to customer’s location at the top of Grafton Street, the equipment move could only take place between the hours of 3.00am and 6.30am. Cronin Mover’s expertise and experience were invaluable throughout this project and they took total ownership of each task, from arranging necessary permits, method statement and ensuring health and safety procedures were adhered to. On the morning of the equipment move, the pre-planning paid off and a very competent crew ensured everything went to schedule. Both FUJIFILM and more importantly our end customer were more than impressed with Cronins and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
