A major global healthcare company that offers a broad portfolio of more than 7,500 products, including biosimilars, generics, brand and over-the-counter remedies were seeking to appoint a machinery movers specialist to support and assist with a blister pack machinery replacement within their Dublin facility.

WHAT WAS INVOLVED

Being a healthcare environment, this project required meticulous planning, project management of a professional rigging and moving service from a our Machinery Movers Team, with the team leader reporting directly to the on-site project manager.

The project involved the careful separation of the redundant blister pack machinery. Once separated the equipment was moved to a staging area provided, before being packed, crated, and left ready for loading to the awaiting transport vehicle to begin the journey from Dublin to Italy.

Following this the new blister pack machinery was offloaded, de-crated and unpacked. The new machine weighing approx. 2200kg was lifted clear of it’s transport base using a 3000kg capacity a/frame gantry. Once clear of the base the machine was carefully placed onto multi-directional skates and moved to its final position in production.

The line assembly team began connecting all the sections of machinery to ensure the production line was complete.

THE OUTCOME

The blister pack machinery replacement was completed on time and within budget. Our team left the site as they found it – immaculate. The client was extremely pleased with the process from start to finish.
