Shire Biotech took the decision to relocate their office to central Dublin. This Office Relocation involved moving approx. 180 personnel from City West Campus to Miesian Plaza Baggot Street Lower, and also an internal churn within Miesian Plaza. Cronin Movers were selected to carry out this important office relocation.

WHAT WAS INVOLVED

This Office Relocation project required detailed planning, project management and a professional moving service from an experienced team in Cronin Movers. 180 workstations and their contents with associated office equipment and storage units were involved in the move. The Cronin Movers Project Manager reported directly to the Shire project manager Stephen Colgan.

This project was carried out over two phases.

Phase 1 of the project involved the internal relocation of personal and filing crates to their new desk locations within Miesian Plaza. The vacated area is then prepared for the arrival of the new personnel crates from City West.

Phase 2 of the project involved the moving, loading, transport and delivery of personal and filing crates from City West Campus to Miesian Plaza, Baggot Street Lower. Once phase 1 of the project was complete the Cronin team unloaded the City West Campus vehicle and placed the personal and filing crates at their new desk locations.

THE OUTCOME

In order to minimise disruption to the business this Office Relocation was planned over a weekend on the 19th May. As a result of all the planning and attention to detail, everything was in place so that the Shire personnel could turn up to their new place of work on Monday morning and continue with business as usual.
