Stewart Construction were seeking to appoint a Machinery Movers specialist to support the Relocation and positioning of a Generator Set at Beaumont Hospital. This involved Rigging, Lifting and positioning a 8120kgs (EGW) Generator set and associated elements from one location to another on the access road on the east side of site.
WHAT WAS INVOLVED
Relocating and positioning a generator set requires details project planning, project management and a professional machinery moving service from a dedicated team of Cronin Movers specialists. Our Project Manager reported directly into Stewart Construction project manager James Cronin.
The project required the provision of space saver forklift with 1.8m long blades, 80t mobile crane. Rigging, slinging and lifting by crane and loading to flat-bed truck transporting the Generator Set to its new location. The reverse process was used by Rigging, slinging and lifting using the crane from flat-bed truck to ground. We positioned our machine moving skates and used a Space Saver Forklift to manoeuvre the generator set into new position as directed and agreed with the Stewart Construction supervising site engineer.
THE OUTCOME
Relocation and positioning the generator set was completed safely, on time and within budget. The project was a complete success and the client was extremely happy with the level of service and expertise provided by the Cronin Movers team.
