Overview

We supported a major communications company in relocating their Dublin office and clearing the old site. Sustainability was central to the project, with reusable materials dismantled, sorted, and processed to minimise environmental impact.

Project Scope

  • Relocation of 370 staff and assets
  • Dismantling and removal of office furniture and contents
  • Sorting and processing of materials:
    • Metal
    • Wood
    • General waste

Results

Office Relocation

The move of 370 staff was completed smoothly over two days, with no disruption to operations. We provided 500 crates for packing, colour-coded labels for accurate placement, and post-move support for staff and facilities teams.

Sustainable Clearance and Recycling

Materials from the old office were responsibly processed:

  • Metal: 9.6 tonnes → 56,250 tonnes CO₂ saved
  • Wood: 3.8 tonnes → 1,500 tonnes CO₂ saved
  • WEEE: 580kg → 1,500 tonnes CO₂ saved
  • General Waste: 7.12 tonnes (disposed responsibly)

Environmental Impact

A total of 14 tonnes of material was diverted from landfill, saving an estimated 59,250 tonnes of CO₂ — equivalent to removing 12,500 petrol cars from the road for a year. Additionally, 60 pedestals were donated to St John of God for reuse across Ireland.

Conclusion

This project demonstrated our expertise in managing complex relocations while delivering measurable environmental benefits and supporting charitable reuse initiatives.
